Sicily is in the top 10 of the best European islands for a holiday that can coincide with the Global Tourism Exchange
"TRAVELEXPO" to be held at the Hotel Village "Citta del Mare di Terrasini" (Palermo) from 25 to 27 September next, day
in which the "World Tourism Day" is celebrated.
The news comes from a survey conducted by KAYAK, the world leader among travel search engines, which unveiled its
ranking by collecting data on 70 islands across Europe based on seven different categories:
Weather, Accessibility of Flights, Prices (hotels, car rentals, restaurants and food and transport costs), Safety against
COVID-19 and Sustainability.
In Sicily, in Città del Mare, the news of companies, including international ones, will be presented in the sectors of
Industrial Fairs, Tourism, Hotel business, Mice, Services.
The 23rd edition will be a dream edition for professional tour operators because "the longest tourist season of the
century" will start from Travelexpo, which will run, at least in the first phase, from October 2021 to December 2022.
A theme, that of the lengthening of seasonality, always hypothesized and almost never realized, and which is of common
interest for most Italian and foreign tourist destinations.
Finally, during the last day of the work, or on 27 September, the date on which World Tourism Day is celebrated, it will be
dedicated to "The courage to act".
